Here’s what you need to know:
The 2018 FIFA World Cup Football(or Soccer) tournament will be held in Russia. The dates are Thursday, 14th June – Sunday, 15th July, 2018.
There are 32 qualifying teams, each belonging to one of 8 groups lettered “A through H”, drawn from
a ‘ballot’ of 4 pots, based on the team’s world ranking. The host country is the only exception, which always belongs to Group A and gets to play the first game.(I know, it’s very complex).
Here they are according to their REGIONS and [G]roups:
AFRICA (2) – Nigeria[D] and Senegal[H].
ASIA (2) – Japan[H] and Korea Republic[F].
PACIFIC (1) – Australia[C].
EUROPE (14) – Belgium[G], Croatia[D], Denmark[D], England[G], France[C], Germany[F], Iceland[D], Poland[H], Portugal[B], Russia[A], Serbia[E], Spain[B], Sweden[F] and Switzerland[E].

THE AMERICAS (8) – Argentina[D], Brazil[E], Colombia[H], Costa-Rica[E], Mexico[F], Panama[G], Peru[C] and Uruguay[A].
Each team has officially 23 players on their roaster, so we are looking at 736 (23×32) official team players, not including the coaches and staff members.
The games will be played in 11 host cities, at 12 stadiums, across 4 time-zones; and here they are according to their time-zones:

Saint-Petersburg[UTC+3], Saransk[UTC+3], Sochi[UTC+3], Volgograd[UTC+3]
Note: UTC=Universal Time Coordinate. That is your official time coordinate from zero longitude (GMT), without the Daylight Savings Time. Example: New York City is UTC-5, but GMT-4 in the summer and GMT-5 in the winter.
